ocw is excited to announce its 2nd annual "affordable art sale" at Plank Gallery!

Come out and purchase extraordinary arts and/or crafts for accessible prices: $10-$50! All proceeds support the upcoming issue of one cool word magazine.

Each generous artist that donates will also be selling one piece themselves varying in price up to $200!Our aim with this event is fourfold:

* To make art accessible to the average art lover, whose budgeted lifestyle might not allow for purchases of beautiful works of art

* To showcase and support local artists

* To encourage Vancouverites to embrace the fact that they might just be GREAT "artists" and share their work with the community. Our definition of "art" is an open and broad term. Arts, crafts, photographs, buckets full of rubies...Well, you get the picture.

* To raise money for ocw, a not-for-profit, volunteer run publication whose mandate falls very much in line with the mandates of this fundraiser (visit www.onecoolword.com to learn more).

This once-a-year event is popular, as it is loaded with amazing art at incredibly affordable prices! Get there early if you definitely want to go home with a treasure. Just in time for the gift giving season (whether or not you actually give your purchases away is up to you...).
