Despite the fact that a black-and-white magazine can still look goregeous, it is very appropriate that this issue does not use any colour. Our decision to implement this annual issue was a budget-conscious one, which poignantly complements the artistic community's current financial crisis and the grey campaign response to the recent arts cuts. But don't worry, this issue is far from a downer. We begin with commentary on arts funding by Dan Mangan, and also feature an excerpt of Ryan Beil's stage play Berlin, works from Papermind #14 (Vancouver: Opposition), and an interview with 2009 BC Book Prize winner and OCW Writing Contest Judge Lee Henderson.

Highlights: Photography, illustration, painting, program art, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and stageplay.
